Teledata Networks Wins $22M Deal in Central Asia

Amsterdam, Netherlands – July 2, 2007: Teledata Networks, a leading global provider of innovative Multiservice Access solutions for NGN (Next Generation Networks), has won a $22M deal from a major Central Asian ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier), for supplying BroadAccess Multiservice Access Gateways (MSAGs). The systems will deliver a mix of Voice, Broadband Data and IPTV services over a converged IP Network.

The systems are currently being supplied, and will provide hundreds of thousands of lines to numerous urban sites. This deal takes place in the midst of rapid development of broadband services and migration to VoIP throughout the area.

Teledata Networks systems will be installed in FTTN (Fiber to the Node) network architecture, which enables shortening the local loop to achieve higher bandwidth. Accordingly, the majority of the systems will be installed in outside plant deployments. Based on the systems' wide standard compatibility, they will operate with two different types of softswitches from leading softswitch vendors.

“We are proud to win such a large-scale project,” said Eran Ziv, President & CEO, Teledata Networks. “It is testament to the high appreciation for Teledata Networks’ advanced products and solutions, as well as for our professional expertise.”
