Teledata Networks Delivers BroadAccess IMAP Shipment in the Framework of $25M contract with ICE

Amsterdam, Netherlands – June 7th, 2004: Teledata Networks, a leading provider of wireline access products and network solutions for telecom operators and service providers worldwide, has completed the delivery of the first $5M shipment, as part of a $25M contract with ICE, Costa Rica's National Electricity and Telecommunications company. The contract includes the supply of 300 BroadAccess Integrated Multiservice Access Platforms (IMAPs) over a maximum period of three years.


Under the terms of the agreement, Teledata Networks will help ICE expand, modernize and digitalize the country’s access network. Using the BroadAccess IMAP, Teledata Networks will provide ICE’s customers throughout Costa Rica with high-quality voice and advanced data services using a single integrated platform.

The BroadAccess Integrated Multiservice Access Platform (IMAP) delivers any mix of narrowband and broadband services, from POTS to various flavors of xDSL and IP. The system features a unique Dual ATM/IP Architecture™ that enables it to simultaneously transfer ATM and IP traffic in order to adapt to different customers’ requirements. BroadAccess provides a cost-effective solution for residential, small office/home office and business applications and enables a smooth migration to Next Generation Networks.
