Teledata Networks Wins Kazakhtelecom Tender;Total of Contracts Over $12M

Amsterdam, Netherlands – July 20, 2004: Teledata Networks, a leading provider of wireline access products and network solutions for telecom operators and service providers worldwide, was a winner in a tender issued by Kazakhtelecom, the ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier) of Kazakhstan. This tender is valued at $2.3M, and is one of several agreements between Teledata Networks and Kazakhtelecom, totaling over $12M.


The tender was issued in late 2003, and seven companies participated in it.According to the contract, Teledata Networks is to supply BroadAccess IMAPs (Integrated Multiservice Access Platforms) for delivery of various services, including POTS, ISDN, data, ADSL and G.SHDSL.

Teledata Networks’ wide-ranging activities in Kazakhstan began in 2000, and include providing a mix of services to major cities such as Almaty, Astana, and Aterau over large STM-4 rings, each supporting as many as 10,000 subscribers. The equipment is protected within environmentally hardened housing solutions, immune to extreme heat and cold, extensive rainfall, and vandalism.
