Teledata Networks’ MSAG Demonstrates NGN Abilities inTechnopark ZNIIS

Amsterdam, Netherlands – January 11, 2006: Teledata Networks, a leading globalprovider of innovative access products and NGN solutions for telecom operators andservice providers, announced today that its Multiservice Access Gateway (MSAG)successfully participated in Italtel’s Softswitch Equipment Testing in TechnoparkZNIIS in Russia. Teledata Networks equipment participated in the testing in theframework of its cooperation agreement with Italtel, a leader in the development andintegration of products and services for new-generation IP networks.

The Softswitch Equipment Test in Technopark ZNIIS explored possibilities formodernization of the telephony network in the Russian Federation through NGNtechnology. The tests simulated a complete Next Generation Network containingsoftswitches, controllers, MSAGs, and application servers from leading internationalvendors.

Teledata Networks’ BroadAccess MSAG was included in the testing, and provided anH.248 solution supporting advanced VoIP services and a V5.2 solution supporting astandard open digital network interface.

The Softswitch Equipment Test was ordered by Svyazinvest, one of the largesttelecommunications holding companies in the world, whose network covers most ofRussia. The positive results of the testing will facilitate integrating advancedtechnology into the Next Generation Networks of the operators in Russia.
