Teledata Networks Compacts Ultra-Broadbandwith Launch of BroadAccess-100
New Outdoor Mini IP DSLAM Eases Upgrade to Triple Play
Amsterdam, Netherlands – July 17, 2007: Teledata Networks, a leading globalprovider of innovative Multiservice Access solutions for NGN (Next GenerationNetworks), today introduced BroadAccess-100, a unique Mini IP DSLAM enablingtelcos to deliver high bandwidth services in FTTN (Fiber to the Node) configurationsand seamlessly upgrade to Triple Play services.
BroadAccess-100 is the newest addition to the Teledata Networks’ acclaimedBroadAccess multiservice platform family. It is a compact, environmentally hardenedbroadband access system which is used to upgrade narrowband remote access systemsas well as deliver broadband from remote outdoor cabinets or MTUs (Multi TenantUnits).
The system’s advanced Ethernet functionality, support of DSL Forum TR-101standard, and dense 1U “pizzabox” structure – all address specific needs of CLECsand incumbent operators, enabling them to extend novel services to small clusters ofsubscribers, and facilitating their transition to Triple Play. The system is already beingused by CLECS in Kazakhstan, Argentina and Bolivia. Moreover, BroadAccess-100is the first milestone in a new product line, which will include an MSAG with VoIPcapabilities in the next release.
