Teledata Networks Reinforces its Triple Play Solution with Resilient Ethernet Ring Transmission
Herzliya, Israel – January 10, 2008: Teledata Networks, a leading global provider of innovative Multiservice Access solutions for NGN (Next Generation Networks), has enhanced its BroadAccess-1000 Multiservice Access Gateway with unique Gigabit Ethernet ring transmission supporting advanced Triple Play services.
The BroadAccess-1000 Ethernet Ring is an optimal solution for service providers who need to provide bandwidth-hungry Triple Play services, and whose network is deployed in a ring topology. The Ethernet ring solution has been successfully installed and is operating on large-scale deployments by service providers worldwide.
The solution is designed to suit Triple Play requirements: It offers a high level of resiliency, with a protection time of sub-50 milliseconds, as well as a high bandwidth of nxGig-E and advanced Multicast capabilities. The Ethernet Ring enables maximal utilization of fiber transmission, generating significant CapEx savings. An integrated solution based on a plug-in card, it eliminates the need for an external transport device.
A single Ethernet Ring supports up to 16 BroadAccess-1000 remote units, covering thousands of subscribers. The BroadAccess-1000 equipment can be installed in a street cabinet or telecom room in the proximity of the customer – according to the service provider needs.
